WALTHAM Mr. Louis Lou Gennetti, 78, of Waltham, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston after a short illness. He was the devoted friend of Christine Barrington, her family and Bud Johnson. Mr. Gennetti was a life-long resident of New York until he came to his home at Francis Cabot Lowell Mills. He was the Vice-President of the Rockets Red Glare cafeterias along the New York docks which provided breakfasts and lunches for travelers and workers of the Holland American cruise lines and supplied box lunches for push carts for Central Park, New York. After his catering business, Louis sold mens fine clothing at Broome Street, a gentlemens clothing store, in New York City. Lou enjoyed having coffee and visiting with his friends at the Café on the Common in Waltham Center. He enjoyed music, art, and his new friends at the Mill. Louis was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Army. A private burial ceremony will be held for Louis at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
