Waltham - Mrs. Louise M. (Gaudet) Brandt, of Waltham, died Monday, August 11, 2014 in Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She was 93.

Louise was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on September 23, 1920, a daughter of the late Marcel and Sarah (Cormier) Gaudet. When she was two years old her family made Waltham their new home. She had worked at Waltham Hospital for eighteen years until her retirement in 1985.

Louise loved to travel and one of her family's favorite destinations was York Beach, Maine. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family and her desserts were always the best part. One of her hobbies was visiting yard sales almost every weekend with her sisters. She was very devoted to her faith and was a longtime parishioner of St. Jude's Church in Waltham.

Louise was the wife of the late Clifford J. Brandt and the sister of the late Ralph Gaudet, Yvonne Cannon, and Dorothy Hayes.

She is survived by her children, James C. Brandt and his wife, Marianne, of Waltham, Mary D. Moynihan and her husband, Kevin, of Sudbury, and Judith M. Albano and her husband, Anthony, of Hudson; her grandchildren, Devry Ferreira, Darcy Brandt, Justin Albano, Alaina Albano and Ryan Moynihan; her great grandchildren, Taylor, Jarred, Amanda and Analise; her siblings, Edward Gaudet of Lexington and Kathleen O'Neil of Waltham and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Louise's life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, August 14th, from 4-8 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again on Friday at 9:30 am before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
