Waltham – Mrs. Louise E. (Green) Lizotte, of Waltham, died Friday, October 28, 2011 in her home. She was 88.
Louise was born in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania on June 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Donald and Rose (Shearer) Green. She moved with her family to Albany, New York when she was 12 years old and had been a Waltham resident for the past fifty-one years. She and her family also spent many memorable summers at their home in Rockport.
During World War II she worked for the Navy Department in Washington, D.C. After moving to Waltham she worked as an executive secretary for a number of years at Parts Distributors on Bear Hill Road in Waltham. She had been a member of St. Pierre's School Mother's Club, the Waltham Women's Club and the Southside Seniors Club in Waltham.
The wife of the late James E. Lizotte, she leaves her daughter, Cindy A. Kelley and her husband, Jack, of Waltham; her grandchildren, Lisa A. Irvine and her husband, Robert, and Kristen M. Santiago and her husband, Dan; her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Irvine and David and Katharine Santiago; her brother, Donald Green and his wife, Janet, of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was also the mother of the late Michael J. Lizzote and David M. Lizotte and sister of the late Marie McGrath.
Family and friends will honor and remember Louise's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, November 1st, from 4 to 8 p.m. immediately followed by her funeral service at 8:15 p.m. Burial will be private.
