Waltham- Mrs. Louise B. (Leach) McGuire of Waltham died Wednesday April 21, 2010 in her son’s home in Wayland. She was 89.
Louise was born in Newton on February 2, 1921, a daughter of the late Philip and Margaret (Bennett) Leach, and had been a lifelong resident of Waltham. She worked for many years for the Waltham Watch factory as an assembler and in her spare time she enjoyed gardening, reading, and tending to her house plants. She was a graduate of Newton High School.
She leaves her children, Michael P. McGuire and his wife, Tricia, of Wayland, John H. McGuire of Waltham, Deborah A. Schuessler of Whitefield, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Kimberly and Kenneth McGuire, Tracey Miller, Jessica Schuessler, Stephanie Colson, Cassie Schuessler; her great-grandchildren, Ashley McGuire, Benjamin and Jake Miller, Connor McGuire and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was the wife of the late James H. McGuire and sister of the late Paul, Francis, and Malcolm Leach, Lillian Nasco, Marian Collins, and Mae Champion.
Family and friends will honor and remember Louise’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
