Lucille M.(Belliveau) Thibodeau

February 5, 1923 — April 25, 2019

Framingham – Mrs. Lucille M. (Belliveau) Thibodeau, of Framingham, formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice House in Wayland. She was 96.

Lucille was born on February 5, 1923 in Grosses Coques, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Aubut) Belliveau. She married Adolphe Louis Thibodeau on December 28, 1948 in Church Point, Nova Scotia and four years later moved to the United States. They lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Framingham more than twenty-five years ago. They enjoyed 67 happy years together before Adolphe's death in October, 2016.

She worked at Eaton's in Halifax, Nova Scotia and after her move to the States stayed at home to raise her family. Lucille was a terrific cook and seamstress and enjoyed crosswords and puzzles. She stayed current with technology and was online daily checking emails and her Facebook page to keep track of the latest goings on among family and friends.

Summer trips home to Nova Scotia were always memorable occasions and afforded the family the opportunity to stay close across the years.

Lucille leaves her children, Annice M. Cusano (Kenneth) of Framingham and Eric J. Thibodeau (Patricia) of Nashua, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Derek Cusano, Adam Cusano, Nicole Goldstein, Alex and Ashley Thibodeau; her great-grandchildren, Lucy, Annavera, Elizabeth, Josie, Paul and Olivia; her brother, Louis Belliveau of Grosses Coques, Nova Scotia and many nieces and nephews.

She was also a sister of the late Maurice and Delbert Belliveau, Geraldine Deveau and Annette Doucet.

Family and friends will honor and remember Lucille's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, May 2nd from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning in Saint George's Church, 74 School Street, Framingham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215-5450.
