Lucy Ann (Caira) Bonica

Waltham - Mrs. Lucy Ann (Caira) Bonica of Waltham died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in the Wingate of Weston Nursing Center. She was 92. Mrs. Bonica was born in Newton on March 8, 1924, a daughter of the late Enrico and Annie (Leghine) Caira.

Known as "Ann", she was a nurse's aide at the Waltham Hospital until her retirement and a lifelong Waltham resident.

Ann was the wife of the late Quentin E. Bonica, the mother of the late Robert M. Bonica, and the sister of the late Lawrence Caira and Mary Caira.

She leaves her daughter, Carol A. Bertolami and her husband, Marco "John", of Waltham; her grandchildren, Kimberly A. Bertolami, Kurtis J. Bertolami, and Kayla R. Bertolami; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ann's life by gathering for her Funeral Service in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, May 31st, at 11 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
