Lucy A. Chiasson

Waltham – Mrs. Lucy A. (Aucoin) Chiasson of Waltham died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton. She was 90. Born in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lucy (Poirier) Aucoin, she lived in Waltham since 1929. Until her retirement in 1975, Mrs. Chiasson worked at the Walter E. Fernald School in Waltham and had been a longtime parishioner at Saint Joseph’s Church, Waltham. The wife of the late Theophile Chiasson and the late Theophile Aucoin, she leaves her children, Jeanne Kimmel of Waltham, Lionel Aucoin of Lexington, KY, Claudette Granahan of Bellevue, WA, Samuel ‘Andy’ Aucoin of Honolulu, HI and Diane Buck of Waltham; four sisters, Katherine Doucette, Sophie Lauze, Marie Beland and Cecile Majeau all of Montreal, Quebec; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Joseph, Albert and Dennis Aucoin and Justille Desjardins. The Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, 519 Main Street, Waltham at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
