Lyla May Heffernan

Watertown – Lyla May Heffernan, the infant daughter of Paul J. and Michelle C. (MacInnis) Heffernan, of Watertown, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.

Lyla was born on April 19, 2012.

In addition to her parents she leaves her grandparents, Thomas C. and Mary E. (Corazzini) MacInnis of Waltham, Paul Heffernan and his wife, Irene, of Wilmington and Marcia (Casey) Heffernan of Atkinson, New Hampshire; her great-grandmothers, Pauline MacInnis of Mashpee and Josephine Corazinni of Wellesley; her aunts and uncles, Christopher MacInnis, Patrick and Nicole Heffernan, Michael and Debbie Hefferan, Kristi Heffernan, Jenn and Mike L'Esperance and Lisa and Erik Pote; her cousin, Hayden Heffernan; her godparents, Jillian Burke and David McLaughlin and many great aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will honor and remember Lyla's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, August 12th, from 3 to 7 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown.
