Waltham - Mrs. Madeline E. (Blunt) Johnson, of Waltham, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. She was 82. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late Rutson and Gertrude (Olson) Blunt, she worked for many years as a secretary for the Waltham Police Department in the Detective Division. She was a member of “ Club” for over forty years and had been very active at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waltham. Madeline was also a founder and member of the Waltham Music Parents. Madeline was the sister of the late E. Lorraine Ernst. Madeline leaves her husband, Einar L. Johnson; her children, Dale E. Johnson and his wife, Marilyn, of Franklin, David D. Johnson and his wife, Dale, of Lenoir, North Carolina and Christine E. Barrington of Waltham; one brother, Alfred Blunt of Kennebunk, Maine; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, corner of Weston and Eddy Streets, Waltham. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45 p.m. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
