Madeline E. Walker

Mrs. Madeline E. (Boyle) Walker died on March 25, 2013. She was 85.

Madeline was born in Brighton on July 15, 1927, a daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Reimer) Boyle. She grew up in Watertown and married John Walker on April 15, 1950. They honeymooned in Bermuda and Niagara Falls and over the years they loved traveling the country together. She was a wonderful wife and devoted mother. In November of 2011 she moved to Kansas to be closer to family.

She leaves her children, John Walker and his wife Lenore, David Walker and his wife Joanne, Linda Reed and her husband Alan, Ronald Walker and his wife Willa, Richard Walker, Deborah John, Edward Walker, William Walker and Marsha Jiava and her husband Stephen; her brother, Jack Boyle and his wife Jean; her sister-in-law Helen Walker and is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Madeline was the wife of the late John Walker, mother of the late Mary Walker, Douglas Walker and Robert Walker and sister of the late Gladys Boyle, Dorothy Boyle and Mildred Ritchie.

Family and friends will honor and remember Madeline's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Friday April 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning when her Funeral Service will be held. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
