Waltham – Miss Margaret R. 'Honey' Connolly, of Waltham, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waltham. She was 94.
Margaret was born in Waltham on September 5, 1919, a daughter of the late Dennis and Delia (Daly) Connolly. She was a life-long resident of Waltham and graduated from St. Charles Elementary and High School. She worked for many years as a key punch operator at Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Company in Waltham and had also worked at Waltham Bag and Paper. She was a wonderful sister and aunt, a diehard Boston Sports fan and a devout Catholic, having attended St. Charles Church her entire life.
She was the sister of the late John Connolly, Mary 'May' Connolly, Charles 'Albie' Connolly, William Connolly and Joseph Connolly.
She leaves her nieces and nephews, Margaret Rohanna of Weston Newton, Judith Chiasson of Waltham, Joseph Connolly of Framingham, William Connolly of Waltham, Mary Ann Reynolds of Brewster, Sheila Connolly of Salisbury, Paul Connolly of Waltham and Michael Connolly of Waltham and is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Margaret's life by gathering on Tuesday, February 25th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall St., Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
