Waltham – Miss Margaret M. "Peggie" Cutler, of Waltham formerly of Newton, died on March 9, 2014 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 68.
Peggie was born on October 13, 1945, a daughter of the late Margaret E. (White) Cutler. For many years she worked as a secretary in the operating room at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was very close with her family and took great care of her mother. She had a special bond with all her nieces and nephews and treated them as if they were her own. She loved all things Irish, especially its music and its pubs, and was delighted to be able to travel there to experience it firsthand. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a long time parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Waltham.
She is survived by her brother, Paul Cutler and his wife, Maxine, of Salem, New Hampshire; her nieces and nephews, Ralph Cutler and his wife, Karen, Barbara Carroll and her husband, James, Harold Cutler and his wife, Denise, Mary Irvine and her husband, Keith, Edward Cutler and his wife, Cathy, and Paula Cutler and is also survived by fourteen great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Peggie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, March 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
