Waltham Mrs. Margaret Anna (MacDonald) Dunlop of Waltham died Monday, August 23, 2004 at her home. She was 74. Born in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late Murdoch and Rita (MacDonald) MacDonald, she was raised in Tarbot, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She had been a Waltham resident for more than fifty years and until her retirement worked as a secretary for the University of Massachusetts Field Station in Waltham. Before that she worked at the Farm Bureau in Waltham. Mrs. Dunlop was a long time active member of Lakeview Congregational Church in Waltham and enjoyed reading, knitting and needlepoint. The wife of the late Gordon W. Dunlop, she leaves her children, Donald F. Dunlop of Nashua, New Hampshire and Lt. Col. David G. Dunlop, U.S.A.F. of Waltham; her grandchildren, Scott, Jessica, Danielle and Asia Dunlop; one brother, William MacDonald of Tarbot, Cape Breton and many nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Murtice and Donald MacDonald. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Visiting hours will also be held Friday, August 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church, North River Bridge, Cape Breton where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, River Bennett, Cape Breton.
