Margaret M. Garrigan

Waltham – Mrs. Margaret M. (Lally) Garrigan of Waltham died Monday, February 9, 2004 in Saint Patrick’s Manor, Framingham. She was 79. A lifelong Waltham resident, she graduated from Waltham High School and until her retirement she had worked for 25 years as the executive secretary to the president at Newton-Waltham Bank, and later at BayBank. Mrs. Garrigan is survived by her husband, William F. 'Mike' Garrigan, Jr.; her children, Michael P. Garrigan of San Diego CA, William F. Garrigan III of Waltham, Margaret A. Savage of Framingham, and Matthew R. Garrigan of San Francisco CA; her brother, Edward Johnson of Waltham, her grandchildren, Robert M. Garrigan, Christopher P. Garrigan, Thomas J. Garrigan, Rebecca A. Porter, and Emmett M. Garrigan; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garrigan was the mother of the late Mark E. Garrigan, the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Hennessey) Lally and sister of the late Robert and Raymond Lally. The Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
