Waltham – Mrs. Margaret R. 'Peg' (Connelly) Robichaud, of Waltham, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 97.
Peg was born in Waltham on July 14, 1915, a daughter of the late John J. and Mary V. (McQuade) Connelly, and had been a lifelong resident. Until her retirement she worked for a number of years for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Waltham.
She will be fondly remembered by her many friends at Saint Mary's Parish, the Waltham Senior Center, the North Waltham and South Side Seniors and at the Leland Home. She had been a member of Saint Mary's Sodality and the Waltham Business and Professional Women's Association and volunteered for the Waltham Meals on Wheels program, at Waltham Hospital and for the American Red Cross.
The wife of the late Frederick V. Robichaud, she leaves her children, Rev. Paul G. Robichaud, CSP of Washington, D.C., Janet M. Driscoll and her husband Jake of Waltham, John T. Robichaud and his wife Linda of Natick, and Kevin W. Robichaud and his wife Kathy of Waltham; her grandchildren, Brian Driscoll and his wife Amanda of Watertown, Timothy Driscoll and his fiancé Jess Nelson of Norwood, Jacklyn Goodmurphy and her husband Jay of Wilmington, North Carolina, Paul Driscoll of Waltham, Karen Robichaud and her husband Benjamin Henry of Brookline, Steven Robichaud of Haverhill, Kelly Griffin and her husband Peter of Gloucester, and Kevin Robichaud of Waltham; her great-grandchildren, Dylan Driscoll, Wyatt Goodmurphy, and Orion Driscoll; her sister-in-law, Esther Connelly and cousins Barb and Gin Studhome, Dot Demeritt, and Bob Rotchford.
Peg was also the sister of the late William, John and Edward Connelly.
Family and friends will honor and remember Margaret's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, June 6th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
