Marshfield – Mrs. Margaret A. (Bennett) (Mandile) Sell, of Marshfield, a native of Waltham, died Sunday, November 8th, 2015 in Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth Hospital. She was 90.
Margaret was born on June 7, 1925 in Waltham a daughter of the late Charles W. and Elizabeth M. (Curran) Bennett. Raised in Waltham she graduated from the former St. Charles High School with the class of 1944. She was married to Alfred A. Mandile from April 1948 until his death in November of 1959. After staying at home to raise her family she then worked as a secretary at the former Arkwright Insurance Company in Waltham. She later married Charles L. Sell on October 7, 1972. They lived many years in Weston before moving to Cape Cod and later Kingston for over 13 years and lastly Marshfield where they lived for the last 5 years.
In addition to her first husband's death, Alfred, she is predeceased by her siblings: twin James 'Herbert' Bennett and Charles Bennett.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, Charles, she leaves her sons, Vincent C. Mandile and his wife, Emily of Ellicott City, Maryland and Joseph T. Mandile and his wife, Lynne of Middleborough; her grandsons, Francis A., Dominic J., and Anthony J. Mandile; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Margaret's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, November 12th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and again at 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
