Margaret Shea

Waltham – Mrs. Margaret (Zuccari) Shea, of Waltham, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Town and Country Healthcare in Lowell. She was 78.

Margaret was born in Hyannis on March 31, 1934, a daughter of the late Bertha and Natale Zuccari, and had lived most of her life in Waltham. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Along with her husband, Marty, she enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the eastern United States. She loved to collect knick-knacks and memorabilia gathered along the way. Amish Country was one of Margaret's favorite destinations. She also had a passion for building doll houses.

The wife of the late Martin Shea, she leaves her brother, William Zuccari of Hingham and many nieces and nephews including her nephew Jim Shea and his wife Anne and their children who, for many years, were Margaret's devoted caregivers.

She was also a sister of the late Virginia Lamm and Betty Ann Nolan.

Family and friends will honor and remember Margaret's life by gathering to visit in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Saturday, March 9th at 9 A.M. before leaving in procession to St. Mary's Church, 133 School St. Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.

Memorial donations may be made to the A.L.S. Association, 7 Lincoln Street Wakefield, MA 01880.
