Waltham – Mrs. Margaret A. (Pallozzi) Smith, of Waltham, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home. She was 82.
Margaret was the youngest of five children born to the late Ralph and Josephine (Tarullo) Pallozzi, both natives of Scanno, a town two hours west of Rome, Italy. They raised their family in East Boston and throughout her life Margaret was affectionately known as 'Babe' by her relatives.

Until her retirement Margaret worked as an administrative aide for Jones Lang and LaSalle, a Boston real estate firm and before that held the same position with Dictronics in Needham.
Margaret found her greatest peace, light, joy and refreshment at the beach. Stays at Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable and at Longnook Beach in Truro brought her back to the happy days of her youth where she and her family and friends spent summers lounging at Constitution Beach in East Boston and at Revere Beach.
She was an avid reader with a particular interest in biographies. She loved ballroom and any type of dancing and traveling overseas. She visited England, France, Italy, Greece and faraway Tahiti. Margaret loved the elegance of the performing arts including ballet, theatre and most especially loved watching movies, old and new, a passion shared with her sister Lee and one that she passed along to her daughters.
Margaret leaves her children, Barbara A. Buccigross and her husband, Jim, of South Easton and Lisa M. Smith and her partner, Wendy Fox, of Sudbury; her grandchildren, Joseph and John Buccigross and Hallie Fox, her niece, Marianne Principe of York, Maine and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
