Waltham – Mrs. Margaret M. (Cummiskey) 'Peggy' Storlazzi, of Waltham, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 74.
Peggy was born in Waltham on April 28, 1939, a daughter of the late J. Raymond and Eloise (LeBlanc) Cummiskey. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1956 and worked for a number of years as an accounting and payroll clerk. On May 21, 1960 she married Arnold E. Storlazzi in St. Jude's Church, Waltham. After Arnold's unexpected death on January 6, 2001 Peggy moved to Las Vegas where she lived and worked near her daughter for the next ten years. In 2011 she came home to Waltham and has been a resident since.
She leaves her children, Lisa A. Sherman and her husband, Kurt, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert A. Storlazzi and his girlfriend, Kate Buckley, of Boston, Kenneth R. Storlazzi and his wife, Christy, of Concord and Keith J. Storlazzi of Woburn; her grandchildren, Alex Sherman, Evan, Julia, Nicholas and Keira Storlazzi and Robert Wilhelm; her sister, Betty Arnold and her husband, Harold, of Waltham and many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was also a sister of the late Raymond J. Cummiskey and Sr. Ruth Cummiskey, C.S.J.
Family and friends will honor and remember Peggy's life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday, November 21st, from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, and again at 8 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
