Waltham – Mrs. Marguerite M. 'Margie' (Howley) Pennachio, of Waltham, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland. She was 74.
Margie was born in Newton on April 10, 1939, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Ryan) Howley. She had lived in Newton before moving to Waltham in 1989. Until her retirement Margie worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist for the Savin Company.
Her husband of fifty-three years, George L. Pennachio, died June 2, 2012.
She leaves her children, Deborah Lowre and her husband, Mark, of Brighton, AnnMarie Pennachio of Waltham, George L. "Beaver" Pennachio, Jr. and his wife, Liz, of Waltham and Joseph C. Pennachio and his wife, Charlie, of Worcester; her grandchildren, Nick and Kathryn Lowre and Joey, Morgan, Cyrus and Ryan Shelby Pennachio and many nieces and nephews.
Margie was also the sister of the late Francis, Henry and John Howley.
Family and friends will honor and remember Margie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, June 12th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
