Marie L. Gannon

Auburndale – Mrs. Marie L. (Lyons) Gannon, of Auburndale, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at her home. She was 93. She was the wife of the late George F. Gannon who died in 2000. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Corcoran) Lyons, Marie lived in Auburndale for the past fifty years. She had worked as a librarian at the Waltham Public Library and in later years as a bookkeeper at Grover Cronin’s in Waltham. Marie had been a member of the Fernald League and the Corpus Christi Guild. She leaves her daughters, Carole and Cheryl Gannon, both of Waltham; her grandchildren, P. Robert Gannon, Jr. of Clinton, Michael S. Gannon Wayland and Lori S. Wolfe of Auburndale and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late George F. Gannon, Jr. and Philip R. Gannon and a sister of the late Madeline ‘Babe’ Quinan, Ruth L. Hayes and Grace E. Lyons. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Corpus Christi Church, 45 Ash Street, Auburndale at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
