Waltham – Mrs. Marie S. (Boudreau) Goguen, of Waltham, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 80.
Marie was born in St. Ann, New Brunswick on August 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Adaline and Marian (Babin) Boudreau, and had been a Waltham resident for more than fifty years. She was a full time wife and mother who lovingly cared for her family and was a terrific cook. She enjoyed spending summer days at the beach and trips back to Canada to visit with family and friends from ‘home’. She had been a longtime parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham where she was a member of the Ladies Guild.
She leaves her husband, Henry G. Goguen; her children, Gisele Domurat and her husband, Frank, of Richmond, Virginia, Denis Goguen and his wife, Rose Marie, of Waltham, Michael Goguen and his wife, Cindy, of Northborough and Robert Goguen of Waltham; her grandchildren, Justin and Nathan Domurat, Monique, Erik, Leigh-Ann, Lucas and Brooke Goguen; three sisters, Rita Leger and Cecilia Collette, both of Moncton, New Brunswick and Andrea Galen of St. Ann, New Brunswick and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was also a sister of the late Andre, Henry, Richard and Joseph Boudreau.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marie’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
