Marie Gooding-Nathan

Watertown- Mrs. Marie Gooding – Nathan of Watertown died Monday May 17, 2010 at Cambridge Hospital. She was 87.

Marie was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on October 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph and Agatha (Williams) Gooding and had lived in Watertown, since 1984. Marie was a licensed pediatric nurse for many years until her retirement and in her spare time she enjoyed gardening and was also an avid Red Sox fan. Above all her family was always the center of her life

She leaves her son, Rory Nathan and his wife, Andrea, one sister Ena Davis of Florida, five grandchildren, one great- granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was the sister of the late George Commissiong and Mavis Grant.

Family and friends will honor and remember Marie’s life by gathering for her Funeral Service at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte.20), Waltham on Monday at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
