Watertown – Marie-Josée Gauthier, 59, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 of complications related to pulmonary fibrosis. Marie-Josée was born and raised in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. She immigrated to Florida before moving to Massachusetts in 1982. Marie-Josée lived in Waltham for over 20 years before moving to Watertown in 2006. During her time, she served the Lord's will working as a registered nurse before retiring in 1999. Marie-Josée is survived by her daughters: Beatrice Adewole (Gauthier), Nathalie Gauthier and Claire Gauthier, son-in-law: Akintayo Adewole, brothers: Henriot Jean-Baptiste, Herve Jean-Baptiste & Cety Barberousse, sister: Nicole Brunache, grandchildren: Olatunji–6, Javon–4, Folasade–15mths & Ifayola–2 wks. old and countless extended family and friends. Marie-Josée was predeceased by her son, John Gauthier; father, Ramses Barberousse & mother, Marcelle Jean-Baptiste (Cabeche). Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 12:30 p.m. Reception will take place at the Sons of Italy Hall, 99 Cedar St., Waltham thereafter. There will be a private burial for invited guests at a later date. Visiting hours are Friday, May 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
