Marie E. (McCabe) McTighe

Waltham – Mrs. Marie E. (McCabe) McTighe, of Waltham, died peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2017. She was 94.

Marie was born in Waltham on August 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Cresta) McCabe, and had been a lifelong resident. Until her retirement she worked as an administrative assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge and before that held similar positions with different departments of the federal government.

The wife of the late James F. McTighe and sister of the late Charles McCabe, Jr., John McCabe, and Paul McCabe, "Aunt Betty" leaves many nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Marie's life by gathering to visit at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 2nd in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
