Lexington – Mrs. Marie M. (Jones) Rose, of Lexington, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was 93.
Marie was born in Everett on May 6, 1917, a daughter of the late Michael and Minnie (Hickey) Jones, and had been a Lexington resident for the past fifty-six years.
The wife of the late Joseph G. Rose, she leaves her children, Carol Ann M. Callahan of Waltham, Charlotte Tomao and her husband, Geno, and Arlene Santoro and her husband, Joseph, all of Burlington and Barry Rose and his wife, Dorcia, of Arlington; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Rose of Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was also the mother of the late James M. Rose and Walter J. Rose and mother-in-law of the late William Callahan.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marie’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to St. Brigid’s Church, 2001 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
