Marie L. Ryan

Waltham – Mrs. Marie L. (Casey) Ryan of Waltham died Saturday January 17, 2004 at Meadow Green Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 90. Born in Somerville, a daughter of the late Timothy and Mary Beatrice (Clarke) Casey, she lived in Waltham for most of her life. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and had worked for many years at the Waltham Watch Factory and later for the Waltham School Department at the high school cafeteria. The wife of the late James A. Ryan, she leaves her children, James A. Ryan, Jr. and his wife Betty of Osterville, Daniel P. Ryan and his wife Eileen of Waltham and Robert C. Ryan and his wife Ann-Marie of Worcester; four grandchildren, Christine Ashness, Kevin, Michele and Timothy Ryan; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Edna Murphy, Edward Casey and Jeanne Osborn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
