Mrs. Marilyn J. (Polley) Crawford, of Sudbury, died Saturday, October 26th in Royal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wayland. She was 91.

Marilyn was born in Waltham on May 2, 1933, a daughter of the late Joshua M. and Lydia Beatrice (Dorey) Polley. Raised in Waltham she was a member of Waltham High School’s Class of 1952 and later worked as a secretary in the sales division at Automatic Switch Co. in Newton.

Marilyn always enjoyed being involved in the community. She was a member of the Waltham Junior Women’s Club, the Waltham Twirlers and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a gift for singing and was a choir member at both Beth Eden Baptist Church and Weston Methodist Church. In addition she was in the Lamplighters singing group and loved crafting ceramic goods in her spare time.

The wife of the late Gerald M. Coulter and Edmund R. Crawford., she was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Donald H. Polley, Gordon Dorey, Doris Steadman-Link, Myrtle H. Matejski and Lois Peterson

She leaves her husband, Jon Mullen; her daughters, Laura E. Coulter of Groton, Nancy J. Coulter of Milford, Robin D. Spinale (James) of Wayland, and Deborah L. Surprenant (Scott) of Southbridge; her grandchildren Christianna Hogue, Jamee Coulter Cook, Nathaniel Coulter Cook, Jennifer DeSousa, Gerred Munk, Tatiana, David, Anthony, and Timothy Spinale; her step-grandchildren, Zakk and Shawn Surprenant; her great-grandchildren, Daiana Barbosa, Jhonata and Laila DeSousa, Kian and Aria Hogue, and Elijah, Hope, and Lainey Spinale and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Marilyn’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, November 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. when her Funeral Service will be held. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
