Weston – Marilyn J. Duprez, of Weston, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Wayside Hospice in Wayland. She was 69.
Marilyn was born in Waltham on September 11, 1940, a daughter of the late Leon and Dorothy (Driscoll) Duprez, and had been a lifelong resident before moving to Weston five years ago. She was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham.
Until her retirement she worked as an administrative aide at the Waltham YMCA and before that worked for many years as a legal secretary for several local attorneys.
She leaves her children, Jennifer M. (Kohler) Brogna and her husband, Michael, of Maynard and Julie E. (Kohler) Girschek and her husband, Robert, of Boston; her grandchildren, Brendan and Michael Brogna; her brother and sister, Robert Duprez of Salem and Ellen Bouvier of Fitchburg; her aunt and uncle, Edna Dunn of Waltham and Robert Driscoll of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was also a sister of the late Leon ‘Billy’ Duprez.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marilyn’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
