Waltham – Mrs. Marilyn M. (Kassatly) Elliot, of Waltham, died Friday, June 8, 2018 in Meadow Green Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 82.
Marilyn was born and raised in Allston, a daughter of the late Albert and Ida (Mudarri) Kassatly, and was a graduate of Brighton High School. In June, 1956 she married Kenneth F. Elliot and the couple became lifelong Waltham residents four years later.
Marilyn was a patron of the arts and loved attending shows at music theatres locally and abroad. She and Ken traveled the country and the world. At home Marilyn was a real social butterfly and enjoyed the company of her friends and the activities of senior organizations in Waltham and in surrounding towns.
In addition to her husband of sixty-two years, Ken, she leaves her children, Kenneth A. Elliot of Lakeville, Lynne E. Moran (Christopher) of Arlington, Julie K. Aiken (Donald) of Westford and James G. Elliot of Waltham; her grandchildren, Kenneth Elliot, Deanna Elliot, Christopher Moran, Caleigh Snell, Michael Moran, Kara Aiken and Chloe Aiken; her great-grandchildren, Kenneth Elliot and Adelyn Snell; her sisters and brothers, Lorry Hakar of Waltham, Albert Kassatly of Duxbury, Frances Serris of Burlington and Russell Kassatly of Dennis and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marilyn's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, June 13th from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m.
Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne will be held at a later date.
