Mrs. Marilyn R. (Morrissey) Heiser of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island. She was 83.
Marilyn was born in Waltham on December 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Cloherty) Morrissey. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School.
Until her retirement she worked as a manager at the Bay Bank Data Processing Company for twenty-two years. Marilyn had a love for ceramics and shared her passion for it through teaching the art form to her students. She also enjoyed taking annual trips to Cape Cod with her family and spending time at the Ocean Club on Smuggler's Beach.
She leaves her children, Michael A. McCall and his wife, Cheryl, of Bellingham, Donna A. Wentworth of Berkley, Patricia E. Smith and her husband, Michael, of Waltham, and Karen A. Sergi of North Smithfield, RI; her sister Sheila Grinnell of Middlesex, NJ; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Frederick T. "Ted" Heiser.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marilyn's life by gathering for calling hours in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Thursday, February 25th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
