Waltham – Marilyn R. (Gness) Smith died October 27, 2015 in Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was 89.
Marilyn was born on October 15, 1926 in Peabody a daughter of the late Michael and Lea (Lemay) Gness. Raised and educated in Peabody she lived most of her life in Waltham. She worked for many years as a self-employed seamstress.
She is predeceased by her three sons, Edward J. Smith Jr., Paul D. Smith and Peter M. Smith.
Marilyn leaves two grandchildren, Casey M. and Peter M. Smith Jr. of Waltham; her great-grandchildren, Jarred, Joshua, Annika, Jordan, Ryer and Luke; her sister, Ruth Coombs of Peabody and the late Philip Levesque and Helen Rewinski.
Funeral services will be private.
