Marion A. (Ford) Fulton, of Watertown, died Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln following a period of declining health. She was 86.
Marion was born in Watertown on January 13, 1938, one of eleven children born to the late James and Anna (Kinney) Ford.
She was a 1955 graduate of Watertown High School and worked for years as a waitress at Lanno’s Restaurant in Watertown. After that she began a second career as an occupational health aide at McLean Hospital in Belmont
In her youth she spent hours roller skating and earned the title ‘Wal-Lex Roller Queen’ at the recreation center of the same name in Waltham. Her affable personality earned her many lifelong friends at work and in social circles. Marion loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed vacation trips to Cape Cod and to Bass River, Nova Scotia.
She was the wife of the late Scott C. Fulton and James Busa and was the longtime companion of the late Frederick DiSanzo. Marion was also a sister of the late Ann Marie Goulet, James Ford, Jr., Robert Ford, Claire Butler and Janet Studley.
She leaves her children, Kim Fulton Marchand (James) of Yarmouthport, Scott C. Fulton (late Roberta) of Waltham, Pamela Morad (Matt) of Dorchester, Linda Aste-Surro (Tim) of Watertown and Bethany Aste of Watertown; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Debbie), Emily, Jesse, Molly and Joshua; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sofia and Leo; her sisters and brother, Joan Cappellucci of Watertown, Pauline Bales of Georgia, Eileen St. Onge of Watertown, John Ford of Waltham and Eleanor Rooney of Reading; her former husband, John Aste, and Fred DiSanzo’s children, Mark DiSanzo and Matthew DiSanzo (Adriana).
Family and friends will honor and remember Marion's life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, September 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Patrick's Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
