Mrs. Marion C. (O'Brien) Russo, of Acton, died Monday, December 28, 2009, in the Walden Rehabilitation Center in Concord.She was 89. Marion was born in Dorchester on June 24, 1920, a daughter of the late John and Margaret O'Brien. She had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Acton. Marion was a member of the Elks in Lexington and a member of the Our Lady's Church Sodality in Waltham. She was the wife of the late John J. Russo, sister of the late William O'Brien and Rita Strachan, and sister-in-law of the late David Donahue and Harry Strachan. Marion is survived by her children, John A. Russo and his wife, Marie, of Holbrook, Mary M. Cartier and her husband, Glenn, of Acton and Anthony J. Russo and his wife, Andrea, of Lexington; her grandchildren, Joseph, Christina, Amanda, and Alicia Russo and Christopher and Marissa Cartier; her brother and sister, Paul O'Brien of Pembroke and Anna Donahue of Milton and her sisters-in-law, Frances O'Brien of Pembroke and Eleanor O'Brien of Holbrook and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Marion's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Route 20), Waltham on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
