Marion E. "Terry" Tierney

Waltham – Marion E. "Terry" Tierney, of Waltham, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was 69.

Marion was born in Waltham on March 25, 1946, the daughter of the late Francis J. and Irene M. (Dupuis) Tierney, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Rosary Academy in Watertown and Massasoit Community College.

She worked as an administrative aide in the management department of Bentley University in Waltham, a position that she held for the past thirty-four years. Marion was a lifelong parishioner at Saint Jude Church in Waltham where she was a longtime member of the parish Saint Vincent dePaul Society.

Marion leaves her brother, David F. Tierney of Lowell, her niece and nephews, several cousins, her neighbors and friends in the parish and at work and her 'Club 50' traveling companions with whom she shared many happy adventures.

Family and friends will honor and remember Marion's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, October 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
