Mrs. Marjorie T. (Walsh) Meadows, of Waltham, died Monday, October 17, 2022 in Sunrise of Burlington. She was 85.
Marjorie was born in Waltham on November 21, 1936, one of thirteen children born to the late James D. and Margaret L. (Maguire) Walsh. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
On April 22, 1961 she married Somerville native Robert J. Meadows in Saint Mary's Church on School Street and the pair spent more than fifty-two years together until his death on March 20, 2014.
She and Bob loved spending weekends at their cottage in Sanford, Maine and in her later years Marjorie was active at the Waltham Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she is reunited in Heaven with her siblings, James, Kenneth, Richard, Joseph, Leonard, and Leo Walsh, Irene Hill, Mildred McLaughlin, Florence DeRusha, and Mary Small.
She leaves her children, Michael R. Meadows and his wife, Sherry Shepler, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Jacqueline L. Meadows of Franklin and Stephanie M. Meadows of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; her grandchildren, Christina Akinnagbe, Nicholas Fredericksen, Matthew Fredericksen, Conor Goyette and Emma Goyette; her siblings, Frank Walsh of South Dartmouth and Janice Messinger of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marjorie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Thursday, October 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
