Watertown – Miss Marjorie L. Parsons, of Watertown, died Monday, December 23, 2013 in her home.
Marjorie was born in Cambridge, the youngest child of the late John R. and Isabelle M. (Prowse) Parsons, both of whom were natives of St. John's, Newfoundland.
After graduation from Saint Mary's High School in Cambridge, Marjorie went to work for AT&T and, in later years, became a realtor. She had two great loves in her life: her family and her beloved Saint Luke's Church.
Marjorie is survived by her beloved sister, Dorothy Wimberly, and her husband , Floyd, of Bradenton, Florida and many dear nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and her dear friend, Mary Morley.
She was the sister of the late Claude, Clifton, John, Robert and Gertrude Parsons, Isabelle Gustie and Sister Isabel Parsons, S.N.D.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marjorie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, December 27th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
