Mrs. Marjorie H. (Bradley) Pedersen, of Waltham, died peacefully at Westborough Healthcare on Monday September, 30, 2019. She was 99.
Marjorie was born in Greenfield on May 18, 1920, the daughter of the late James and Minnie (Stewart) Bradley. She was raised and educated in Waltham and had worked at Grover Cronin's on Moody Street before beginning a family of her own.
On September 25, 1946 she married William P. Pedersen, shortly after his return home from World War II, in Immanuel United Methodist Church in Waltham. The pair settled in Waltham where they would raise their six children. Marjorie and William enjoyed travelling, especially on cruises to any destination, her favorite ship being the Queen Elizabeth II. She enjoyed the occasional trip to Foxwoods, listening to the Big Band music of her generation and shopping outings with family and friends. She was outgoing to say the least and was not afraid to let you know what her opinion might be; and she was loved because of it. She was a wonderful wife and mother and was happiest when she was able to host family gatherings in her home.
She was predeceased by her husband, William P. Pedersen and her son, William A. Pedersen and is survived by her children, Holly A. Waltz (Richard) of Groton, James B. Pedersen (Christina) of Norwood, Joan B. Pedersen (Ken Mayo) of New Hampshire, Karen R. Gannon of Groton and Douglas E. Pedersen (Maureen Murphy) of Westborough; her grandchildren, Rachel, Robert, Elisabeth, Nicole, Olivia, Rose, Deirdre and Aidan and by her great-grandchildren, Charles, Bradley and Isadora.
She was also a sister of the late Violet Bradley.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marjorie's life by gathering to visit from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5th in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Autism Society of America, 4340 East West Hwy Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814.
