Marjorie Q. Swift

Weston- Mrs. Marjorie Q. (Quinlan) Swift of Waltham died Wednesday July 12, 2006 at Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Weston. She was 86. Born in Boston, a lifelong resident of Waltham she worked at Raytheon Corporation and retired from the Department of Public Safety as a senior chemist in 1987. She was a graduate of Girls Latin High School and M.I.T. Class of 1941. She was the wife of the late George P. Swift. She leaves one son George Swift and his wife Susan Winning of Jamaica Plain, one daughter Janet Palermo and her husband Joseph of Chesterfield, Missouri; her grandchildren Jeffrey Winning and Katelyn Winning of Jamaica Plain, Daniel J. Palermo and his wife Christy of Plano, Texas, David C. Palermo and his wife Shelley of Houston, Texas, six great grandchildren her sister in law Mary H. Swift of Winchester, and her caregiver Ann Lamont of Waltham. Funeral services and burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham.
