Mark E. LeBlanc, of Watertown, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 14, 2025 at his home. He was 66.
Mark was born in Boston of May 21, 1958, a son of the late Paul E. “Eddie” and Lorraine M. (Tolan) LeBlanc. He was raised in Waltham and was a 1976 graduate of Waltham High School.
Until his retirement he worked as a police officer for more than twenty-five years at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
He was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018, in Waltham where he held all of the lodge offices, including governor. He served as a past Deputy Supreme Governor of the statewide organization.
Mark was also a member of The Sons of The American Legion, Squadron 440, a component of The American Legion Post No. 440 in Newton.
For years Mark and his family made many happy memories at their Plymouth campsite and traveled throughout New England on camping excursions.
He leaves his wife, Karen A. (O’Mara) LeBlanc, his son, Denis C. LeBlanc of Watertown; his brother, Paul J. LeBlanc of Waltham; his nephews, Jared and Joshua Faherty and his grand-niece, Stella LeBlanc.
Mark was also a brother of the late Joseph Paul LeBlanc, Marie T. Faherty and Lawrence J. LeBlanc and the uncle of the late Lauren LeBlanc.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mark’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, February 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning when his Funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
