Waltham – Mr. Mark C. Sullivan, of Waltham, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 46.
Mark was born in Brighton on September 30, 1964, a son of Mary E. (Roche) Sullivan of Waltham and the late Charles M. Sullivan, Sr. He had lived in Bangor and in Boston for many years before moving to Waltham five years ago. He was a graduate of John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor and Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He worked as a restaurant manager for many years. Mark was an avid sports fan who was well read and well-versed in politics.
In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his brother, Charles M. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Cherie Tate, of Scarborough, Maine; his sisters, Ethel S. Williams and her husband, Dexter, of Waltham, Mari S. Mullen and her husband, James, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Kathleen M. Sullivan of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Ursula M. DellaPorta and her husband, Brian, of Malden; his nieces and nephews, Emily and Derek Williams, Franki and James Mullen, and Olivia DellaPorta.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mark’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, October 22nd, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
