Mrs. Martha E. (Wentworth) Maker, of Waltham, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Wingate of Weston. She was 89.
Martha was born in Waltham on December 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Chauncey and Edith (Kempton) Wentworth. She worked for the Sullivan and Cogliano Employment Agency for several years.
Martha was a lifelong resident and enjoyed keeping a tidy garden around her home. Martha was also able to travel over the years to destinations around New England and across the country.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. Maker and is survived by her son, Robert K. Maker and his wife, Judie, of Billerica and several nieces and nephews.
Martha was also the sister of the late Norman L. Wentworth and Donald N. Wentworth.
Family and friends will honor and remember Martha's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday May 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Friday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
