Mrs. Martha A. (Bystrom) Rubado of Mashpee, formerly of Waltham and Weston, died Thursday August 19, 2004 in the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley, Billerica. She was 86. Born in Osterville, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Halloran) Bystrom, she had been a New Seabury resident since 1983. Prior to that she lived in Waltham and in Weston for many years. She was a member of the New Seabury Womens Club, a founding member of Christ the King Parish in Mashpee, a member of the Board of Trustees of Waltham Hospital from 1975 to 1979, a member of the Waltham Hospital Corporation from 1972 to 1983, and the Waltham Hospital Auxiliary from 1960 to 1983. She was a charter member of Saint Julias Church in Weston, a member of the Womens Guild, the Altar Guild, and a former secretary on the Parish Council. She was as a former member of the Weston Golf Club and Community League. Mrs. Rubado was also a retired employee of the federal government in Washington, D.C. and in Boston. She was the wife of the late Ralph R. Rubado, the founder and president of Inland Express, Inc. and sister of the late Dorothy M. Garrity. She is survived by one son, Neil M. Rubado and his wife Kathy of Andover, one sister, Mary E. Brown of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julias Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
