Lexington - Mrs. Mary I. (Keefe) Bach, of Lexington, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at Sancta Maria Nursing Center in Cambridge. She was 96. Mary was born in Boston on August 31, 1913, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Kevican) Keefe, and was a graduate of Brighton High School. She had lived in Arlington before moving with her family to Lexington in 1954. Mary had been a member of Saint Brigid's Sodality in Lexington and until her retirement she worked for more than forty years as a waitress at the former Fantasia's Restaurant on Concord Avenue in Cambridge. The wife of the late John C. Bach, she leaves her children, Robert S. 'Chip' Bach of Lexington and Deborah H. Bentley of Billerica and her grandchildren, Siobhan and Stephen Bach and Richard Bentley. She was a sister of the late John, Joseph and Helen Keefe and Catherine Cusack. Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Brigid's Church, 2001 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
