Mary E. Bonfiglio

Mrs. Mary E. 'Betty' (Garrigan) Bonfiglio of Waltham died Wednesday may 4, 2005 at Newton- Wellesley Hospital. She was 81. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Hughes) Garrigan, she worked for many years for the New England Telephone Company. She was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers Association and a 1941 graduate of Saint Mary's High School. She was the wife of the late Ludy J. Bonfiglio, sister of the late Joseph and Edward Garrigan, and sister-in-law of the late Margaret Garrigan. She is survived by her sister, Peggy M. Doherty and her husband Bernard of Waltham; her brother, William 'Mike' Garrigan of Waltham; her sister-in-law, Marion Garrigan of Sudbury; three stepchildren, Joseph W. Bonfiglio of Pepperell, Marie L. Giordano of Marlboro, and Ellen M. Bonfiglio of New York; three stepgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
