Waltham— Mrs. Mary Loretta (Chiasson) Boudreau, of Waltham, died on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Waltham Crossings. She was 93.
Loretta was born in Waltham on July 8, 1929, a daughter of Nova Scotia natives, the late Joseph and Louise (Poirier) Chiasson. A lifelong resident of Waltham, she was a graduate of Waltham High School and was a faithful parishioner of Saint Joseph's Church on Main Street until its closing.
She loved summer weekends in Ashby and always looked forward to Sunday drives exploring the beautiful New England landscape. Loretta also loved listening to the fiddle and spoons and guitar music, and enjoyed her bowling games with her husband. Above all else Loretta loved her family and each day spent with them was a blessing.
In addition to her husband, Wilfred N. Boudreau, she was predeceased by her children, Maureen E. Drew and Armand R. Boudreau, and her brother, Lester Chiasson.
She leaves her children, Audie E. Boudreau (Debra) of Chelmsford, Annette M. Robinson (Thomas) of Ayer, René J. Boudreau (Jan Bonanno) of Holden; her son-in-law, David Drew of Dennis, her daughter-in-law, Carol Boudreau of Royalston; her grandchildren, Jacob Drew, Danielle Drew, Evan Boudreau, Dana Boudreau, Kelsie Batkay, and Melanie Boudreau; her great-grandchildren, Mollie, Cameron and Tyler Drew, Micah, Maddox and Phoenix Boudreau, and Eleanore Batkay; her siblings, Doris Arsenault of Waltham, Odette Cormier of Watertown, and Ronald Chiasson of Millbury and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Loretta's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Tuesday, October 25, at 10 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
