Mary H. Bourgeois

Waltham – Mrs. Mary H. (Cormier) (Leger) Bourgeois of Waltham died Monday, February 9, 2004 in Meadow Green Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 98. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, Mrs. Bourgeois had lived in Waltham for most of her life. She loved to play whist and frequently attended social functions at the French-American Victory Club in Waltham. Mrs. Bourgeois was the wife of the late Edgar Leger and Alderic Bourgeois and sheis survived by her children, Jeannette Burns, Norma Riggs and Helen Alagna all of Waltham, Gerard Legere of Chelmsford, and Linda Theriault of Peabody; her brother, Telex Cormier of Moncton, NB, Canada; her step-children, Gerald Bourgeois of Waltham, Lionel Bourgeois of Framingham, and Alfred Bourgeois of Bouctouche, NB, Canada; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, 519 Main Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
