Waltham - Mrs. Mary M. (Riley) Connor, of Waltham, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Newton-Welesley Hospital. She was 79

Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Wallace E. and Alice (Sweeney) Riley, she was a homemaker. Mary received an honorary degree from Boston College in 2007, and devoted her life to her family. Mary also worked for many years as an accounts payable clerk for Inspecs in Billerica until her retirement.

She was the wife of the late Russell M. Connor, Sr. and sister of the late Wallace E. Riley, Jr.

She leaves her children, Regina M. Miante of Annapolis, Maryland, Bernadette A. Desrosiers LeBlanc and her husband, Robert LeBlanc, of Carlisle, Russell M. Connor, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of North Reading, Paul F. Connor and his wife, Ellaree, of Waltham, Julie T. Connor Levey and her partner, Brian Larson, of Carlisle, John P. Connor and his wife, Jacqueline, of Wrentham, and Laura J. Connor of Waltham; her grandchildren, Russell, James, William, and Rebecca Miante, Justin and Christopher Desrosiers, Ryan, Jacqueline, and Samantha Connor, Corrine Connor Cunningham and her husband, Joseph Cunningham, Meaghan Levey, Sean, Melanie, Joseph and Hunter Connor; and her great-grandchildren, James Lally, Caileen Hurley, Braeden Riley Cunningham and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to The Heart Fund at Children's Hospital, 300 Longwwod Avenue Boston, Mass 02115 or to the Robert D. Farrell, S.J. Scholarship Fund, c/o James A. Woods, S.J. at Boston College, 140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, Mass 02467.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
