Waltham - Mrs. Mary J. (Minehan) Corcoran of Waltham died Wednesday March 9, 2005 in her home. She was 96. Born and raised in Waltham, a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Shaughnessy) Minehan, she was a homemaker as well as a member of Saint Julia’s Church in Weston for many years. She was the wife of the late Deputy Police Chief Henry F. Corcoran Sr. She is survived by her children, Henry F. Corcoran, Jr. and his wife Marie, and William J. Corcoran and his wife Janice, all of Falmouth, Vincent P. Corcoran and his wife Judy, Gerald Corcoran, Susan E. Romeo, and Marilyn A. DiBenedetto and her husband Bernard, all of Waltham; one sister, Marge Quinn of West Newton, seventeen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
