Mary L. (Terrasi) Dalfino

Mrs. Mary L. Dalfino, of Billerica, formerly of Waltham died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in Billerica Crossings. She was 94.

Mary was born on August 4, 1925 in Waltham a daughter of the late Sicilian immigrants Frank and Mary (Passerello) Terrasi. Raised in Waltham she was a graduate of Waltham High School and married James R. Dalfino. Jim died on December 12, 1996 and Mary transitioned to Billerica Crossings in 2017.

She worked for Hewlett-Packard Company for over 20 years. Previously, she had worked as a sales clerk for Turn Style Department Store in Waltham.

Mary and Jim travelled extensively. An avid reader she also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family.

In addition to her husband, Jim she is predeceased by her daughter, Karen L. Capalbo; siblings, Joseph Terrasi, Josephine Anderson and Eleanor DiPrima.

She leaves her son, James R. Dalfino Jr. (Donna) of Auburn, formerly of Billerica; her son-in-law, Joseph Capalbo Jr. (Susan) of Dennis; her grandchildren, Jacquelyn Hayes (Mark), Jennifer Connelly (Christopher), James Dalfino III (Giselle Rojas), Lisa Welch (Edward) and Joseph Capalbo III (Kerry); her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brendan, Carly, Shannon, Tommy, Matthew, Alexis and Kayla; her sister, Marguerite Terrasi of Waltham; nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Mary's life by gathering for a calling hour on Friday, January 31st from 10 to 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery, Newton.
